Most people I talk to are saying the same thing that you did 95% diet/5% activity....I really think that my problem is my portion size....I eat healthy, just too much of it.

Pamela: I'm still deciding on purchasing something with the other money...it still sort of feels like cheating to me:) I actually was a vegetarian for a couple of years in my 20's...i still ate eggs/seafood and wasn't super strict..but I felt so great. I feel so sick after I eat a huge portion of steak or a burger...blah! Great tips about the grains too...thanks! I've been having steel cut oatmeal with fruit in the AM and I find it very filling.

Susannah: I have started writing down everything that I am eating...a way to hold myself accountable. I'm still thinking about weight watchers and might do it at the end of this month if I'm not seeing the results I want. I am going to try to up the cardio an additional 20 minutes per workout too. or at least push myself to intensity during the workout. How are you feeling?Jordynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04133884418708673923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1051125903985969605.post-79684299160148068132011-01-04T01:06:56.257+00:002011-01-04T01:06:56.257+00:00Jordyn, I am so proud of your goals for 2011! You ...Jordyn, I am so proud of your goals for 2011! You can do it! I think Weight Watchers (or another similar tracking what you eat method) would be helpful. Also, you will need to do more exercise than what you are currently doing to lose. Upping the cardio will certainly help! You are gonna do great!Susannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1051125903985969605.post-83258006602787436112011-01-03T20:49:27.636+00:002011-01-03T20:49:27.636+00:00I agree with AppGal, I think adjusting eating habi...I agree with AppGal, I think adjusting eating habits is huge. It sounds like you have a great exercise routine already, so just by adjusting what you are eating, you should see results right away. For me, I was never a big meat eater to begin with, so I shifted to a vegatarian diet and saw results quick. I ate more grains (quinoa, millet) and eliminated soda. I still have a diet coke every once in a while, but now it's a treat. I bring my own lunch to work and always eat a healthy breakfast of whole grain toast, natural PB and fruit.

and as for the money you receive on your return...it's $$ from 2010, I think it's fair game :-)Pamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08491792967070723752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1051125903985969605.post-387565091805879982011-01-03T18:40:26.446+00:002011-01-03T18:40:26.446+00:00I actually am wanting to accomplish all 3 of these...I actually am wanting to accomplish all 3 of these goals too. I am still my reg. size 4, but a very soft size 4. There were times I could fit into size 2s, and while that may be too small, I'd like to at least get rid of the soft parts :) I actually just bought the Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred dvd workout to jumpstart the fitness plan. I definitely think that how you eat is extremely important. When I lost a bunch of weight several years ago, it was 95% eating habits and only 5% physical activity.

Re: church, I was moved to tears during my Christmas Eve service as well, and then again yesterday when I went to church for the first time in a while. It is so true that if you have a good spiritual foundation, everything else will fall into place. My mantra for this year is CHOOSE JOY! I always have a choice in how I react and act.

Anyway, sorry for the novel of a response! Hope these goals go well for you. We can help keep each other accountable :)AppGalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00357132357374563505noreply@blogger.com
